EIA Sees US Oil, Coal and Gas Output Rising in 2023

The US government's EIA says in its monthly Short Term Energy Outlook that it expects US production of all three fossil fuels--crude oil, natural gas and coal--to increase next year compared with this year. The EIA says US crude output will likely be 12.7M bpd in 2023 vs 11.9M in 2022, and natural gas production will climb to 100B cubic feet per day vs 97-bcf/d in 2022, while US coal production will jump to 601M short tons in 2023 vs an expected 599M this year.
